No snow yet: dryland, and learning the activities cold.
- Focus 1: single-leg base. Stork turns, 1000 steps and short radius in variable snow all depend on balancing on one foot while the leg moves under a quiet upper body. Do the 3 dryland sessions in the dryland routine.
- Focus 2: know all 13 activities. The examiners pick a subset on the day, so know each one's terrain, turn size, speed and the one thing to show (the 13 activities). Watch one reference video per activity and say its cue aloud.
- Study: for each Integrated activity, write one line on what the inside ski does at initiation. That's where these three activities differ.
- First day on snow: film every activity once (side-on for Integrated and Individual, from below for Versatility, 6–8 turns each) for the baseline scoring.
